Tofu Supper with a Rooted Mindset
Supper I was craving something healthy, that didn’t give me heartburn or my bum attacking me with loaded gas. I’ve been researching plant based meal ideas, and I’ve been experimenting with Tofu.
Now tofu isn’t my go to typically, as it’s bland and doesn’t have a whole lot of flavor. But that’s similar to our lives, often times we don’t even have enough flavor for our lives so we try to spice it up anyway that we can.
When I began experimenting with tofu, I learned that you can eat plant based food and still enjoy what you eat.
Did you know you can make ice cream with tofu? Or perhaps your favorite chocolate bar you can make with that too.
I started by marinating my tofu with a secret ingredient, which is liquid smoke. Adding that flavor gives it a Smokey, barbecue taste similar to your latest fix of barbecue chicken a crisp evening air enjoying fellowship around you.
After I marinated the tofu, for a day and a half. Be sure to completely remove all the liquids. Then prepare your stove top with a medium high heat of avocado oil.. avocado oil is very good for high heat, it’s also obtains healthy fats that your body needs.
I coded each piece of tofu which accumulates a half of box of tofu. With a total of one egg, be sure that it is completely emerged. Then proceed to place in your ready frying pan with oil. You know that your oil is ready when you can put a teeny piece in it and it sizzles.
Then you want it to cook for about 8 to 10 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
For the sauce, you want to use Greek yogurt, 3 tablespoons of water about, in seasoning for taste. To top the Tofu, I garnished with capers. Capers are a flower bud, that obtain a salty like nutrients that your body needs.
For the vegetable base, I chose a prep of frozen broccoli. Steamed high heat, for approximately 10 to 15 minutes or until soft. Then add a little bit of butter and seasonings. Be sure to add your Celtic salt for your flavor and hydration..
With a side of quinoa as a form of grains, rather than run for rice. Will keep you full or longer., obtain the proper fibers, your body needs to break down the food. So you can promote a healthy bowel movement.
Be sure to rinse your quinoa until your water runs clear. When you cook quinoa, use a little bit of oil or butter to your water so that the quinoa does not stick to the pan.
Once the seeds open up, they’re done. Then you want to run it under cold water, put it back in your pan.
I chose a little bit of chicken base for flavor., garlic, pepper, Celtic, salt, Italian seasoning, basil, and a little bit of turmeric. By adding pepper, it activates the turmeric. Turmeric is very good to add to your meals as it’s an anti-inflammatory nutrient to help promote your joints your body from maintaining daily function.
When you eat these food foods, it’s not just food. It’s a nutrients that the Lord gave us. Often times we pick up what is easy rather than do a little bit of work.
When you enjoy what you do, you are maintaining your body as a temple. The Lord enjoys giving us what we need. He says that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, if we enjoy praising the Lord, we enjoy what he does. I very much enjoy spending time in the kitchen with the Lord. Because I know that what I put in my body is what he created for me to have a renewed mindset.
From the foods that I used to eat have been changed, simply from a renewed mindset.
Now We all love dessert, so for dessert I added a 3rd cup of Greek yogurt. With three spoonfuls of crushed canned peaches in real juice. Topped with a sprinkle of granola. A few blueberries and a drizzle of 100% honey.
For a beverage, I chose water, with an electrolyte strawberry packet from Aldi‘s. With a dash of chlorophyll, to activate and liven up the water.
I hope that changing or trying a new meal plan encourages you to live a better lifestyle.

He doesn’t want us to suffer. He wants us to lean on him that he will guide us to where we need to be, but we have to trust him even if it doesn’t make sense even if it’s different even if it’s not our go to.
Because cycles break, when you choose Jesus, it is faith over fear because fear is a liar.

Recipe:
- 1/2 box of firm tofu (previously frozen to give it a meat like texture)
- One egg
- half a cup of avocado oil
- 1/2 cup frozen broccoli
- 1/3 cup of quinoa
- 1/3 cup of Greek yogurt
- 10 blueberries
- drizzle of honey
- sprinkle of granola or two spoonfuls (cereal spoon)
- Celtic salt
- strawberry hydration packet
- real butter
- capers
